Venezuela Internet Disruption Amid Election Controversy

Venezuela’s internet connectivity was disrupted in early August 2024 as measured by IODA and other monitoring platforms. The disruption coincided with widespread domestic and international controversy over the official results of Venezuela’s presidential election, in which the incumbent government claimed victory despite widespread claims of fraud by opposition groups and foreign governments.
