Pakistan Internet Connectivity Disruption (Firewall-Related)

Pakistan’s internet suffered significant disruptions from late July through early August 2024, tracked across multiple measurement platforms including Cloudflare Radar and NetBlocks. The disruptions were linked to operations associated with Pakistan’s national internet firewall infrastructure. Users across the country reported dramatically reduced speeds and difficulty accessing various online services. Pakistan had been implementing a national firewall system to expand its internet filtering capabilities.
